Information about Red Lotus Lake
Lake Red Lotus is a lake in northeastern Thailand, north of the town of Kumphawapi, which is located 50 km from Udon II. The locals called it Talai Boa Daeng, which means “Red Sea of Lotus”.
There are beautiful red lake lotus flowers surrounding the lake in Udon Thani, Thailand. There are a few small islands on the lake, which are inhabited by statues of Buddha, shrines, and temples. The islands and their structures look as they float among the lotus flowers. Includes stunning moments for other birds flying by local hunters.
Best time of the Red Lotus Lake
Lake Red Lotus is beautiful during the cold season in Thailand, while these flowers bloom from the beginning of December until the end of February. The best time of day to see the lotus blossoms is between 06:00 until 11:00 or 12:00.

Visitors to the lake can enjoy a boat trip floating on the lake for 45 minutes or 90 minutes. The cost of these trips is 300 and 500 baht, respectively. Although boat rides are available throughout the day, many visitors prefer an afternoon rafting trip, to avoid high temperatures.

The lake is approximately 50 km or one hour from Udon II Airport, and the cost of a taxi is about 1,000 baht from the airport.
How to get to Red Lotus Lake
Lake Red Lotus is one of the few attractions in the Udon II region that has a relatively nearby train station, in Khumpawapi. Then a 9 km trip by road, and you can also find public transportation.
