A European island is officially known as the Republic of Cyprus, and its capital is the city of Nicosia, and it occupies the third rank among the islands of the Mediterranean Sea in terms of area. Geography of the island of Cyprus

The island contains a variety of terrain, including: the coastal plains on the southern side, mountain ranges; such as the Pintadaktillus mountain range on the north side, and the Troodos mountain range on the southwestern side.

Population of the island of Cyprus

With a population of 1,141,166 million people, and the population density reaches 117 people per square kilometer, according to the statistics of 2013, the population speaks two official languages: the Turkish language, the Greek language, and minorities who speak the Cypriot language and the Armenian language.

As for the religion of the population, they owe:

  • 0.6% are indebted to the Islamic religion.
  • 1% condemn the Protestant Christian religion.

  • Konos Bay Beach: It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Cyprus, and it is characterized by crowding in the summer.
  • Aphrodite’s Rock: Located near the city of Paphos, specifically off the coast of Western Cyprus, it is a Greek shrine existing to this day.
  • Paphos City: It is one of the smallest Cypriot cities located on the southwest coast of the island.
  • Akamas Park Reserve: It is located in the far northwestern side of the island, and contains a large number of rare plants and animals.
