The number of galleries in the Louvre
The Louvre Museum contains eight different regions that contain over 380,000 art objects and 35,000 artifacts. These eight departments are as follows:

- The sculpture section, which contains artworks that date back to before the year 1850 AD and were not included in the section of Greek, Etruscan, and Romen antiquities.
- The museum’s remaining sections are the Painting, Decorative Arts and Print Department.
History of the Louvre
The Louvre was built in the twelfth century to take the form of a fortress by Philip Auguste, then it was rebuilt during the middle of the sixteenth century to form a royal residence, and take the design of the Renaissance, and in 1793 AD it was converted into a national museum based on the revolutionary agreement, and subsequent French governments worked To collect a large number of works and paintings and display them in the museum, such as art and craft works collected from all parts of Europe, and other invaluable archaeological collections.
