Piazza del Duomo

Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral
The Cathedral of Santa Maria Sonta in Pisa is an example of authentic Romen architecture based on white marble and was designed by the engineer Buscheto who is the son of Pisa. It began working in 1603 and almost a century later it was completed. It is composed of 4 floors and contains many unique sculptures and ancient artworks. The building is 28 meters long and has 3 bronze doors. The interior of the building is distinguished by its wooden ceiling and its granite columns.
Campo Santo
Campo Santo or any huge cemetery is a historic monument at the northern end of Pisa Cathedral square. The word Campo Santo can be translated into the sacred field because it is said to have been built around a shipload of sacred soil that was returned to Pisa.
