St Kilda Beach is the beach that is located in St Kilda, Port Phillip, Victoria, Australia, 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) south of Melbourne city center. It is the most famous beach in Melbourne. St Kilda’s Beach is a sandy beach that extends about 700 meters (2,300 feet) between St Kilda Marina and St Kilda’s port along the Jacka Boulavard and St Kilda Park. It is also the beach located in the northeastern corner of the port of Philip, although it is still not affected by strong winds.
St Kilda Beach is one of 46 beaches of Bayside which is monitored by the Environmental Protection Agency for Victoria Water Quality. St. Kilda’s beach is of good water quality and is the highest rated by the Environmental Protection Agency, for being less than 150 orgs / 100ml, which is set in the State Environmental Protection Policy (Victoria Water) 2003.
St Kilda Beach is located in a suburb of Bayside, which is characterized by one of the most scenic spots of the bay, a short distance from the city. It has clean and safe sandy beaches with long beaches and palm trees.

Besides the possibility to enjoy swimming and sunbathing taking place on the beach, there is the popular area adjacent to it. People are also involved in other water sports activities, such as windsurfing, sailing, kitesurfing, skiing, beach volleyball, jet skiing and water skiing. The ski park is at the end of Fitzroy’s Albert Street and is in the planning stages. There is also the boardwalk, the other path for walking along the beach and the bicycle track.
Melbourne Royal House is located on St Kilda Beach with a flock of yachts, which began in 1870 to sail the St Kilda Club, with the current club dating back to 1920. There are a large number of sports tournaments and cultural events organized on this beach or in the gardens adjacent to the beach.
