Al Areen Wildlife Park is one of five other protected areas in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The reserve was established in 1976 in a desert area called Sakhir in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Al-Areen protected area consists of two parts. The first is the reserve itself, which you can visit only with permission
The other section is the park and the zoo. The park includes a number of local plants and animals, as well as some animals and plants imported from Asia, Africa and others. It includes 100,000 plants and trees, more than 50 animal species and 90 bird species
Activities you can do inside Al Areen Reserve:
• You can wander through the vast greenery of the wild plant park where there are 25 different types of plants, you can enjoy fresh greenery and fresh air through trees and artificial lakes. The nature of the reserve is a suitable place for relaxation and refreshment.
To see the animals and birds, the first thing that you can go to is the water park, which is 5 artificial lakes, each of them made to suit a specific type of bird, as most of these birds are migratory birds, including the Japanese crane duck, flamenco bird, and others.
The lakes also include some fish of different colors for enjoyment.
• Then you should go to the wild bird cage and enjoy the experience of direct dealing with the birds by entering you to their cage of an area of 4 thousand meters. The cage includes a large number of different beautiful birds of bright colors such as parrot birds and love birds, and there is also a Bahraini owl.
• Your next destination will be to the predatory animal complex where the carnivores, especially those of Bahraini origin, or Arabian Peninsula animals such as the lion, the Arabian tiger, leopard, hyena, and the Arabian wolf.

From Saturday to Thursday from eight in the morning until four in the evening.
Friday from two o’clock in the afternoon until five o’clock in the evening.
