Royal Botanic Gardens is located in the west of Kandy, this charming town in central Sri Lanka. It is also near the Mahaweli River, Sri Lanka’s longest river.
The park is one of the most important tourist attractions in Sri Lanka and is famous for being a gathering of many orchards and fruit trees, the garden includes more than 4000 types of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees, the total area of the vegetable garden is 147 acres and it is located at an altitude of 460 Meters above sea level.
