Prague Zoo has been opened in the Troja region of Prague since 1931 with the aim of studying animals, protecting wildlife and educating the public.
The park occupies an area of 58 hectares, most of which are used for animal shows and includes nearly 650 species, the best zoos worldwide.
The park greatly contributed to the rescue of the Brzezewalski horse, and for many years she was the world’s leading breeder.
