The Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, located in the Martyrs ’Square in Beirut, is one of the landmarks of Lebanon, the largest and most magnificent mosque in the country in terms of interior and exterior architectural design. The mosque dates back more than a century and a half to a century
The mosque can accommodate more than 5 thousand people. Therefore, it is considered the largest mosque to attract worshipers and visitors in Beirut. This mosque was named Muhammad Al-Amin in relation to the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
The total area of the mosque is about 10700 square meters distributed over four floors combined, and this wonderful mosque has domes that were painted in azure blue with four minarets visible from several areas during your wandering in the capital Beirut.
The mosque was designed in the Ottoman and Lebanese style as a whole. The decorations and architectural details bear the Mamluk character, while its roofs are decorated with huge pieces of crystal.
