The island was formed on a part of the mainland, and was separated by earthquakes that occurred after that, as it is located on the fault line, and is characterized by the diversity of its separate terrain into three parts which are fertile forests, mountainous areas in the north, valleys and coastal areas in the south, and it contains many archaeological sites that Its beauty increases as Karisto Castle and Paraskevi Chalkis Church.

Chios

It is located in the northern part of the Aegean Sea, and the island has a warm and temperate climate. The island is divided into five regions, namely:

  • East Coast: It is one of the most densely populated areas on the island, where it has been a settlement since 2000 BC, and its geography has easy fertile land.
  • Southern District: It contains only two populated areas.
  • West Coast.
  • The northern area.
  • The interior.

Lefkada

The island is located on the Ionian Sea on the western coast of the Greek country, and the island is connected to the mainland by the Pontoon Bridge. The island contains one of the most famous and beautiful Greek beaches, Porto Katsiky Beach, located on the west coast of the island, and the island is affected by the Mediterranean climate, where it is The weather is hot in the summer, and cool during the winter, especially in mountainous areas. Among the most important archaeological sites that the island contains are Santa Mora Castle and the Church of the Mother of God.
