The entrance wall is divided into two parts: the eastern part reserved for men, and the western part reserved for women, and to the right of the main entrance to the mosque is another door leading to a small room located in the shrine of the Prophet Moses inside, and the city provides a view of the Jordan Valley, the mausoleum, and desert hills.

The area of ​​the site of the shrine of the Prophet Moses is about 5000 square meters, surrounded by the wall on all sides, and its layout is similar to the square shape, and the length of the northern wall is 74 m, the length of the western wall 70 m, and the length of the eastern wall 68 m, while the southern wall is 55 m in length, and was built of stones Sandy, which includes three floors: the settlement, and the ground floor that includes the maqam and the mosque, and the first floor.

The history of building the shrine of the Prophet Moses

The shrine of the Prophet Moses is considered one of the major religious complexes in Palestine, and the construction dates back to the Mamluk era during the reign of Sultan Al-Zahir Baybars, who is the first founder of the complex and the shrine, where a dome was built on the grave and a mosque in 668 AH, then the building was expanded in the year 885 AH, and the city was built After the year 880 AH, it was restored during the Ottoman era by some architects from the family of Hussein bin Ali bin Nimr.
