With the beginning of 2020, Meraas has opened its new tourist destination, The Yard, in the Al Khawaneej area of Dubai.
The new park is located alongside the destination of the Last Exit D89, which opened last year, and it extends the yard on an area of 350 thousand square feet, to be completed in the future with an area of 2.8 square meters.

The Yard includes a rustic courtyard, a market for organic farms, a bakery, a mix of shops, outdoor and indoor air-conditioned restaurants and dining areas, a lake, two bridges, shaded hiking trails, and places for hiking and play.
The new destination is designed to highlight the agricultural character of the surrounding area, and The Yard is distinguished by its exterior and interior designs to create a calm atmosphere that attracts families from inside and outside the emirate.
Farm atmosphere
The Yard distinguishes the character that blends the ambiance of farms with urban elements, and the new destination acquires a special visual identity with fun murals that are ideal backgrounds for taking pictures.
The splendor of destination is complete with an 18-meter-high windmill, a watermill, a water well, traditional pickups, farm animals and bird houses.
Promises Bridge
The Yard also includes a bridge of promises that gives visitors an opportunity to confirm their feelings for loved ones using symbolic locks that indicate a strong relationship.
Visitors can also navigate the paved stone paths that take them from the main courtyard to the lake and picnic areas, where they can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner, during their excursions, or take tours of the 550-meter walkway.
Social events
There are plenty of parking spaces and passenger drop-off locations, with a range of services and amenities available around the clock, seven days a week.
