One of the most important tourist places in South Korea in Seoul is the War Memorial of Korea, which opened in 1994.
The museum is divided into two parts: an open external exhibition, and an internal one. The internal gallery contains 6 different galleries. The museum was created to commemorate the martyrs and victims during the Korean wars, and it displays tools, equipment and heavy and light weapons that were used in those wars.
It is worth noting that the museum contains approximately 33 thousand different exhibits, but the number displayed is only 10 thousand divided among the museum’s external and internal parts.

Activities you can do
• The first thing that you can visit inside the museum is the exterior, which includes tools and weapons of large sizes that were used in the Korean Wars. Where you can find tanks, artillery, amphibious weapons, machine guns, and bombs. You can also see statues of Korean soldiers in war dress as they represent different scenes of the war.
Do not forget to pass the statue that embodies the two brothers who met during the war, as they were fighting against each other, which is the most famous statue in the museum and the most expressive of those wars.
• Then you must enter the museum building where the internal exhibition consisting of 6 halls are the Expeditionary Hall, National Memorial Hall, War History Hall, Korean War Hall 25/6, Development Hall, and Heavy Equipment Hall.
• It is worth noting that the museum hosts a number of cultural events such as military music concerts, and other honor guard activities, as well as cultural competitions such as drawing competitions and other for children
• You can also pass through the museum’s private garden to relax and spend a light walk, as the garden includes many trees and roses, as well as an artificial lake and waterfall.
