In the Arab region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, specifically in Haret Bani Rashid, near the Al-Thamdad Center, east of Khyber, the Umm Jarsan Cave is the longest cave in the Arab world.
CNN Arabic has published a detailed report on Umm Jursan Cave, where the report shows that the cave is a groove cavity that runs along a length of 1500 meters, a width of 45 meters, and a height of 12 meters. Its height also varies along the path inside the cave until it reaches a height of two meters and a width of three meters.
The track is gradually narrowed down to the end of one of its entrances to a closed road, but it reveals a small opening about a meter wide and half a meter high. Al-Misbahi explained that it is not known what is beyond this road, but the cold air runs through the hole.
The road to the cave is numerous, as it is easy for a visitor to get lost in the endless desert. As for its three entrances, it is distributed along its path from east to west, some of which have been discovered except the eastern entrance.
At the entrance to the cave, trees grow and there is space for brightly colored leafy shrubs. Inside it there are many narrow and wide tunnels and canyons. Bone residues, most of which are from large animals such as camels and wild cows, are also found.
It is noteworthy that the internal cave temperature reaches 24 degrees Celsius, compared to its surface temperature of 34 degrees in the summer season.
Visiting the cave is no longer restricted to individuals from scientific delegations and adventurers alone, but tourists and visitors can explore the place. The photographer explained that the smooth rocks were an obstacle for some people, and as a result, the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, in cooperation with the Khyber Governorate, built a stairway that would make it easier for people to get off and go up from the cave.
