I AM Bali 3D Museum is one of the most fun places to spend half a day outside with family and friends in the capital city of Bali province in Denpasar, especially if you are ready to take some crazy group photos. This entertaining and interactive art gallery is located beneath the city’s main landmark, Bajra Sandhi Museum in Puputan Square, and features dozens of different 3D art wall murals to experiment together. The topics range from rural Bali and farm life to popular culture and children’s themes such as Disney and Pokemon cartoons.

To reach the I AM Bali 3D Museum, the gates must be located on the southern side of the Monument Base, where the fun begins immediately. This entire corridor is nicely painted to resemble the “nine and three-quarters platform” from the Harry Potter movie, from which most of the art installations in the lobby were also inspired. Near the ticket booth, there is a waiting area and shoe depot area designed like a huge collection of books, with popular titles on its columns. Socks are mandatory throughout the museum, and if you do not bring any of them, you will find that there are some inexpensive single-use socks available when purchasing tickets.

The first series of living-space and wild-sized murals include African wildlife, where you can “sit” next to a tiger or stand on an elephant’s body. Then, along the hall, the scenes start to rush more and more exciting, like leaning against your head to give the impression that you are stuck in the back of the bull’s back (trust us, it looks really ridiculous looking at the right camera angle), or pulling Superman’s clothes as he flies. You can always trust the camera or phone with helpful guides, which are on standby and can help you lay down when your thoughts dry.
Besides the 3D murals, you’ll have a lot of fun inside a bunch of Ames rooms, installations that give the impression of being “high”, a mirror maze and a hunt room with ghost features with glow in the dark and backlight for some excitement. There is also a dedicated section with an inverted classroom, where you can take your photos to look like you were dancing on the ceiling. When you reach your memory card limit, look for some refreshments at the restaurant next to the ticket booth. Tickets are worth Rs 120,000 (approximately $ 9) per person.
