Singapore
The country of Singapore is located southeast of the continent of Asia, at the southern end of the Malay Peninsula, where the Indian Ocean meets the Sea of China, consisting of a large island with an area of about 572 km² known as the Island of Singapore and more than fifty small islands with a combined area of about 46 km² and most of it uninhabited Population, but it has been developed to be a center for tourism and recreation, and the number of tourists who visit Singapore annually is estimated at about five and a half million tourists, mostly from Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Southeast Asia.
the climate
Singapore is characterized by its humid tropical climate throughout the year due to its proximity to the equator. Its average average temperature is around 27 degrees Celsius, and during the day it is around 31 degrees Celsius.
Population
In 2015, Singapore had a population of about 5.535 million people, most of whom were Chinese, about 14% of Malay, about 8% of Indians and about 1% of other ethnicities.
The language
There are four official languages in Singapore: the Malay language, the Mandarin language, the English language and the Tamil language, and the English language is the most used in business and management, and the Malay language is considered the national language.
Religion
Singapore is considered a multi-religious country because of its ethnic mix, Buddhism is about 33%, Christianity is about 18%, Islamic is 14.6%, Hinduism is 4%, Taoism is 8.5%, and other religions are 0.6%, and those without religion are about 17.8%.
What is Singapore famous for?
- It is the main port of Southeast Asia and the most active port in the world.
- It is considered the most prosperous country in Asia.
- It enjoys a high level in various educational, health, transportation and housing fields.
- It is an industrial center and is famous for the production of textiles, clothing, chemicals, electronic, electrical and industrial equipment, household appliances, optical and scientific devices, plastic and rubber products, food industries, construction equipment, ship repair and oil refining.
- It is famous for exporting orchids.
- It is famous for the presence of many tourist places, hotels and resorts in it, the most prominent of which are:
- Universal Studios Singapore: It is considered one of the most famous tourist attractions in Singapore, and the studio is located in an international resort and is divided into seven regions.
- Botanical Gardens of Singapore: It is located in the city center, which is a small forest area of about 64 acres and contains a large group of plants.
- Boat dock.
- Singapore flyer: It is located in Marina Bay and is considered the largest in the world with a height of about 165 meters, and gives tourists a wonderful panoramic view of the bay.
- Sultan Mosque: It is located in the Kamnong region and is considered one of the most important monuments in it. The mosque was built in 1824 CE and was rebuilt in 1825 CE. The mosque is distinguished by its arabesque and golden domes.
- Fountain revolutions: The title of the year 1998 AD was the largest fountain in the world, and it was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. The fountain consists of a circular ring with a circumference of 66 meters and supported by four bases, and an area of approximately 1683 square meters and a height of 138 meters.
