The city of demons is a strange rock formation, located in southern Serbia on Mount Radan near Kursumlia.
It includes 202 strange formations, they are 2-15 meters long and 4-6 meters wide at the base, as they have been described as land pyramids or “towers”, as indicated by the locals.
These formations were created by the strong erosion of soil that has been the scene of millions of intense volcanic activities from years ago.
Most of the constellations have Endesite “caps” or “heads”, which protect them from further wear.
Since 1959 AD, the city of demons has been protected by the state and a decision in 1995 by the Serbian government declared it to be one of the main natural monuments that fall under one protection category.
Devil’s Town
It is located under the natural spring formations and has a concentration on a large percentage of minerals, and there are two types of springs: devil water with extremely acidic water (pH 1.5) and a high mineral concentration (15 g / l water), and Crevino Frello (well red).
City of Demons was its candidate for the New Seven Wonders of the Nature Campaign.
