The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to implement the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 plan to support tourism and consolidate its position on the global tourism map with new amendments to the visa system before the end of this year.
The Saudi Tourism and Heritage Authority also announced cooperation with the World Tourism Organization in preparing a strategy for developing human capital in tourism and establishing a tourism academy.
The head of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage, Chairman of the Taif Season Committee, Ahmed Al-Khatib said that the kingdom is coming and strongly, and it is hoped that it will become one of the 5 largest tourism countries in the world, citing what was mentioned by the Crown Prince in more than one place, pointing out that The Kingdom aims to reach 100 million tourists.
In implementation of the Kingdom’s 2030 vision plan, the Commission has taken many measures and launched a number of initiatives that support tourism in Saudi Arabia, including facilitating the granting of tourist visas to 50 countries in the world,
The vision emphasizes the importance of reviving the national, Arab, Islamic and ancient heritage sites and registering them internationally, and enabling everyone to reach them as a living testament to Saudi Arabia’s ancient heritage, its active role, and its prominent position on the map of human civilization.
The Qiddiya Project
In the Lord of Riyadh, the largest recreational, sports and cultural city in the world will be established under the name of Qiddiya, which will be the capital of future entertainment in Saudi Arabia.
Red Sea Project
An international tourism project in the Kingdom under the name of the Red Sea project, on one of the most beautiful and varied natural sites in the world, as this new interface provides an opportunity to explore the nature of the Kingdom from the islands, coasts and volcanoes, in addition to natural reserves and ancient monuments.

The authority is also working to increase efforts in the field of registering archaeological sites in the Kingdom with UNESCO, to raise many 4 sites to 14 sites before the year 2030, including: rock arts in Bir Hami, Al-Fawi village in Riyadh region, Al-Ahsa Oasis, Hajj road Al-Masry in addition to the number of villages and municipalities, including: the village of Dhi Ein in the Al-Baha region, the village of the brightest men in the Asir region, the historic town of Al-Ula in the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region, the historic downtown Riyadh project.
