According to the latest report issued by the European Travel Agency from the European Travel Commission’s 2020, in which it stated that Iceland tops the list of “Top 10 Best Travel Destinations in Europe for 2020 ″, thanks to the increase in visits during the first 4 months of this year compared to last year by 56%.
Northern European countries began to attract tourists largely and from all over the world since 2012, with the spread of films and series such as “Game of Thrones”, “The Secret Life of Walter Mitte”, and others.
It is noteworthy that Montenegro won the second place with a 25% increase in the number of visits and to be the second fastest growing destination in Europe, followed by Malta in third place, Finland in fourth and Cyprus in fifth place.
The report notes that Finland has become particularly interesting for Chinese travelers, with the large number coming from China this year. There is also a similar trend in Estonia.
As for Portugal, Serbia and Croatia, thanks to the large number of visits this year to improved flights, Bulgaria and Croatia witnessed a noticeable increase for visitors from the United Kingdom.
