The Sultan Abdul Samad Building is located along Jalan Raja Main Street, and in front of Independence Square in Kuala Lumpur
The building dates back to the late nineteenth century and was known as government offices in its early years and includes the offices of British colonial administration.
In 1974 the name of the building was changed to Sultan Abdul Samad, who was governor of Selangor when he started construction and building.
Today, the building is used as offices for the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture, and it is considered one of the prominent tourist attractions in Malaysia locally and globally.
The building consists of two floors, and the length of its façade reaches 137.2 meters, and it includes spacious balconies, some ornate towers, the central clock tower and others.

• You can wander around the building, and take some pictures of its unique design, especially its spiral towers, copper domes, and the arches of its varied balconies.
• Do not forget to pass the clock tower that mediates the façade of the building, which was built in the style of Big Ben London, with the addition of oriental accents.
• When you enter the main hall of the building, you will notice the luxury of its creative design, and the accuracy of its decoration, which blends several types of architecture.
• The building includes many internal corridors and across its balconies, where you can wander for a while, and sit back to relax in the places designated for this purpose.
• You must enjoy watching and taking pictures of the painting, The History of Malaysia, which tells the story of the country from centuries to modern times.
Inside the building there is an exhibition of Malaysian heritage that is worth your visit, and includes some paintings and photos from the UNESCO World Heritage sites in the country.
