Ile de la Cité is one of the remaining natural islands of the Seine in Paris
The island was a center of rebuilding the medieval city, and the Palace of the Mirovingi eras is to its west, and the tenth-century cathedral at its eastern end.
The island contains the memorial of the Republic’s Martyrs, one of the most important tourist attractions in France, to commemorate the deportation of 200,000 French to Nazi concentration camps.

Don’t forget to visit the Dauphine public square, which is located near the western end of the island, and which dates back to the beginnings of the seventeenth century.
End your visit by crossing the Pont Nove, the oldest bridge to cross the Seine in Paris, and its construction is medieval.
