Musei Di Strada Nuova Museum
The Strada Nova Museum consists of three former palaces: Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Tursi. With a single ticket, visitors can explore the interiors of these mansions and see the impressive collection they offer – the best collection of ancient city masters. The Three Palaces are located on one of the most famous streets of Genoa – Via Garibaldi (formerly Strada Nova). This small street was planned by Galeazzo Alessi in the 16th century, surrounded by the palaces of the richest Genoese.
Piazza De Ferrari
The bustling Genoa hub is Piazza de Ferrari, the city’s main square. On the square there is a distinctive renovated fountain, surrounded by some of the major historical buildings. There are also many office buildings, private companies and banks in a number of complexes around the square, making it the financial district of Genoa. Casa di Colombo, Columbus house
Christophe Columbus’s house is located just outside the walls of Genoa, dating back to the 14th century. Historical documents show that Christopher Columbus, who was born in Genoa, lived in this house between 1455 and 1470. The original house may have been destroyed in the French bombing of Genoa in 1684 and rebuilt on the basis of the original monuments, and it now houses a museum. Near the house, you can also see the well-preserved towers Porta Soprana, which were built in the year 1155.
