Tourism in Langkawi
Coconut trees, the warm sun, lakes, trees, long white beaches and other tranquil landscapes are the primary reason for the booming tourism in Langkawi, where yachts can be sailed, walking on the beaches and observing the wildlife on the 99 Langkawi beaches in the Andaman Sea . The islands can be reached either by using the ferry through Kuala Perlis, Penang and Kuala Keda, or by using the plane through domestic flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
About Langkawi
The Langkawi Islands is part of the state of Kedah in Malaysia, and is the largest island in the region and is located in the Andaman Sea on a 30-kilometer tomorrow off the main coast of Malaysia. Langkawi has a population of 64,792 people. Although there are 99 islands, only four islands are inhabited, and Langkawi is an important and popular tourist destination in the region because of the many landmarks in it, whether natural or man-made monuments.
In 2007, UNESCO also made Langkawi a world biological center, and the three most important reserves in the region are Kilim Karst Geoforest, Machincang Cambrian Geoforest and Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest.
Malaysia
