State of Malaysia
Malaysia is an Asian country located in southeastern Asia, with an area of approximately 329,845 square kilometers, its capital is Kuala Lumpur, and its official language is the Malay language, and its system of government is constitutional, federal, parliamentary, and democratic, administratively divided into thirteen states, and the Malaysian ringgit is its official currency, Malaysia belongs to a number International organizations such as the International Center for Consultative Dispute Resolution, the Asian Development Bank, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the World Trade Organization.
Tourist cities in Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur city
Founded in 1850 AD and considered the administrative and political capital of Malaysia, it is located southeast of the Asian continent and has an area of approximately 243 km2, and rises above sea level 21.95 meters, nicknamed the Garden City of Lights, and is characterized by its wet and hot climate throughout the year, and includes many tourist attractions such as:
- The Malaysian Orchestra Court was built in 1997 in the famous Petronas Towers.
- Batu Caves: Located north of the city, it consists of three main caves and Hindu shrines.
- Sri Mahamariaman Temple: considered to be the oldest Hindu temple, built in 1873 with the aim of being a place of pilgrimage to Hindus from all over the world.
- Museum of Islamic Arts: It is located near the Bird Garden and the National Mosque. Built in 1998, it features historical manuscripts, ancient Qur’ans, and Levantine, Indian and Chinese antiquities.
- Tioman Island: It is located opposite the eastern shore of Pahang State, and is characterized by its green mountains, and the Japanese and American shipwrecks from the days of World War II.
Georgetown
It is located in the northeastern side of Penang Island, and has an area of about 121 km², and contains many attractions such as:
- Khokongsi Temple: Created by a Chinese family, the temple consists of two floors, and it is characterized by decorations, golden decorations, and colorful drawings.
- Penang Piranakan Museum: The museum houses many valuable and rare holdings.
- Camera Museum: It is one of the modern museums and contains a large collection of old and new cameras, in addition to a souvenir shop, a coffee shop and a photo gallery.
- Canon Street: The street features 3D graphics painted on the walls of buildings and shops.
The city of Putrajaya
It is located to the south of the capital, Kuala Lumpur. It is called the romantic city, with an area of 49 km².
- Putra Mosque: It is considered one of the most beautiful mosques built in Malaysia, and it appears from afar as if it floats on the water as it is surrounded by the artificial lake from various sides, and the mosque is distinguished by the inscriptions of Arab and Malaysian architecture.
- Putrajaya Bridge: The bridge is characterized by its sail-like shape and its colorful illumination at night.
- Artificial Putrajaya Lake: the lake is distinguished by its gardens, restaurants and cafes.
The city of Johor Bahru
It is located southeast of the capital, Kuala Lumpur, and is about 325 km away from it. It is called the jewel of the south. Its area is about 220 km2. It is considered one of the vital cities in the country because it contains many entertainment games cities, parks and its most famous tourist attractions:
- Legoland Games City: Contains many figurines made of Lego, many games, amusement parks, theatrical entertainment and fast food restaurants.
- Sultan Abu Bakr Mosque: It is located in the city center on a high hill overlooking the city and the sea. The mosque consists of four minarets, and is characterized by the style of European architecture.
- Juning Pulai Zoo: A forest with three clear waterfalls, a plateau about 654 meters high and hiking trails.
The city of Kota Kinabalu
It is located on the northwest coast of the island of Borneo, and its area is about 351 km2, and it is five meters above sea level, and it is called the natural resort city because it contains many tourist attractions such as:
- Tun Mostafa Tower: it is distinguished by its cylindrical shape and it consists of 18 floors.
- Abdul Rahman Park Marine Park: It is characterized by being composed of five small islands.
- Popular hotels such as the Corniche Hotel, the Grand Porto Hotel, and the Palace Hotel.
- Popular restaurants like Cohenor Restaurant, Moon Bell Restaurant.
