The Royal Palace, the residence of the royal family, is located on Bellevue Hill, at the end of the main street in Oslo, Carl Johan. The palace is one of the most important buildings of the country, and one of the most important tourist attractions in Norway and an important symbol in Norwegian history.
The construction of the palace began in 1824, construction work continued for 20 years, and the first Norwegian king to inhabit it was King Oscar I, before his coronation in 1849 AD.

• The palace also offers tours of the picturesque Oscar Hall, which includes three floors in the charming historic building, which includes the most beautiful décor.
Oscar Hall includes the Queen Josephine Café, where you can have a delicious royal lunch, which is open to the public during official business hours.
• After completing the palace tour, visitors can visit the gift shop, which includes many royal souvenirs, greeting cards and books.
• Then end your tour by attending the changing of the guards show, which includes a presentation of the guards’ march with the inspection of their equipment and weapons, and it takes about 40 minutes.

Daily from 10:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the evening, except for Friday, when the reception is late until 12:00 in the afternoon.
