Khan Shatyr Entertainment Center, or the royal pavilion as it is known locally, is one of the most important tourist places in Kazakhstan and it is an engineering building in the form of a giant transparent tent in the city of Astana
The building was planned 4 years before its opening in 2010, specifically on the 5th of July, the day of the birth of the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
The 150-meter tent contains an oval base and covers an area of 140,000 square meters.
