Nationalities that can travel to Malaysia for 90 days without a visa

Citizens of the following countries are allowed to visit Malaysia for a period of 90 days without a visa:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Canada, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Peru, Poland, Romenia, Qatar San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Yemen, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic , Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, And others.
Besides these countries, citizens of about 100 other countries are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for 30 days.

Types of visa

The Malaysian government issues three types of visas to foreign citizens:

1. One-time entry visa

It is issued to foreign citizens who want to enter Malaysia for tourism and recreation, and it is valid for one time entry within three months from the date of issuance.

2. Multiple entry visa

The multiple entry visa is issued to foreign citizens who need the visa to enter Malaysia for work or government transactions, and it is valid for use for a period ranging between 3 and 12 months from the date of issuance.
However, there are some conditions for obtaining a multiple entry visa:
1. The applicant must bring a document proving that he has sufficient financial balance to remain in Malaysia.
2. Having a valid and confirmed return ticket.
3. Tourist groups are not allowed to apply for a multiple entry visa.
3. Traffic visa
The traffic visa is issued to foreign citizens who need the visa to enter Malaysia while traveling to other countries, only in cases where the traveler intends to leave the airport before catching his next flight.

How to apply for a visa? What documents are required to obtain a Malaysia visa?

The visa application must be made at any office representing the country of Malaysia. Below is a list of documents required for the Malaysian visa application. Please note that the list of documents may vary from country to country, so check the website for detailed information.
1. A visa application form to be completed and signed by the applicant.
2. The original passport (machine readable) with two copies of the applicant’s personal data page, and it must be valid for more than 6 months from the date of arrival in Malaysia.
