Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, is located on the banks of the Mtkvari River, surrounded by mountains on three sides. It is a distinctive tourist area and a wealth of scenic landscapes. The name Tbilisi denotes hot and sulfur water, as well as ancient Georgian and Armenian churches, mosques and synagogues, and many distinctive modern buildings.
