It is believed that the people of Thamud lived in Yemen, and this belief is due to the finding of Thamudic writings in the Musnad script in Yemen belonging to a specific kingdom and the kingdom of Hayyan in Al-Ula in the area of ​​Deedan, which was controlled on the road to incense, and they are the children of Thamud bin Jathir bin Iram bin Sam. He mentioned them in the Noble Qur’an several times, accompanying the people of Aad and the Amalek.

The people of Thamud worshiped the idols of the Arabs, such as the fertile god and the rain “Baal”, and the god of love, affection and feelings of love, the god “d :, and his sons and his wife, and they were distinguished by solidity, courage, bravery and strength, and they were helped in this by the nature of the rocky environment that they composed, in addition to the magnitude of their structure.

They were famous for carving their homes in the rocks of the mountains, as the cities of Saleh occupied by the Nabateans, and they turned their homes into temples and cemeteries, and from there they took the art of rock carving after attributing to themselves the construction of the city of stone.

The most important effects of the people of Thamud

Their earliest traces date back to the eighth century BC, and it is an inscription of the Assyrian Sargon who fought several battles against them. Also, inscriptions belonging to the city of Titamah were found, and other inscriptions were called animalism and Ahsiyya, because they were found in Al-Ahsa and also in southern Hijaz, as in Jizan, and also Hail, which is a rich mine with Thamudic inscriptions, antiques and also found, after Yemen, where the number of inscriptions found It contains about seventy thousand texts, in addition to nearly one hundred and sixty texts, which are still in the study phase, and they are from the texts of the text, that is, which have no reliable source.

Among the most important discoveries in Hail also, is a drawing of a two-wheeled cart, dating back to the year five thousand two hundred BC. It is worth noting that this discovery refutes the prevailing opinion, that the two-wheeled cart has been found in Iraq in the year four thousand BC, in addition to the presence of paintings Huge drawings and statues of their kings, and in large sizes, show the strong structure of these people and the greatness in the details of their shapes and objects that they used in their daily lives, thus reinforcing the prevailing scientific opinion that they are truly giants.

Many sculptures and drawings representing the ways of their acts of worship, rituals, group dancing, etc. have also been found, and there are many remains of their bodies, in addition to the bodies of full details, that have been recently found in the peaks of the Sarawat Mountains in the Hijaz.

Also among them is the mountain mountain, which is famous for its rare form, as it is a wonderful masterpiece in its sculpture, because it contains many sediments and caves, which the Thamuds carved with their hands and lodged in, so they were their place of residence and protection in the invasions, where they are distinguished by the warmth in the winter, and they are cool in a season the summer.
